Rotary Takes over Del Shannon Car Show
We are truly excited to announce that the Coopersville Rotary Club has signed a three year, renewable contract for the anniversary Del Shannon Car Show, which will be held August 11th. We have great respect for what the JayCees and Wanderers have done in the past and will use that as a base to build on for a bigger and improved car show this year and in the future. Some of us have cars and have been active participants in this and other shows. We have many ideas we hope to include this year such as: our online registration, a dedicated phone line, streamlined registration, more door prizes with some reserved for pre-registrants and perhaps a raffle. All proceeds this year will benefit Neo Forum, which is the Northeast Ottawa County program to prevent Drug, Alcohol use and Violence by school age children. This program is a cooperative effort with the Coopersville Schools, the City of Coopersville, and the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.
